KSB Group has gained a contract to deliver 14 large submersible motor pumps for flood control in Paraguay.

The KSB pumps will equip a selection of pumping stations belonging to the “Costanera de Pilar y control de inundaciones” challenge. They shall be used to prevent future flooding through the high-water season alongside the tributaries of the Río Paraguay.
The metropolis of Pilar is situated 230 km south-west of Paraguay’s capital Asunción, on the Argentinian border.
Each of the Amacan submersible motor pumps weighs six tonnes and is driven by a 370 kW, 380 volt motor. diaphragm seal of each axial circulate pump set is about 18 000 cubic metres per hour.
The pump sets are anticipated to be delivered by the tip of this year.
