Hayward Tyler Inc and its sister company Energy Steel have been awarded multi-million dollar contracts to assist the ITER venture in France.

Hayward Tyler’s contract covers variable drive booster pumps while Energy Steel will provide 62 solenoid valve and cubicle packages.
The ITER challenge is a joint worldwide analysis and growth project to show the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion energy. The demonstration facility is under building in St-Paul-lez-Durance in France, and will be the largest fusion experimental reactor on the planet.
Hayward Tyler’s booster pumps shall be an integral part of the drying system for the Tokamak Cooling Water System (TCWS). The pumps will be designed, constructed and tested at Hayward Tyler Inc in Colchester, Vermont, USA.
