Two of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour level depressant pumps that are 18m in length and the other four are methanol lift pumps which might be 10m lengthy.
All of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors which have been designed and constructed alongside the size of the pumps to watch the temperature of every bearing individually.
The 18m long pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches each pump to its tank during set up ensuring that because the pump is lowered into the tank it stays completely aligned, reducing vibration and wear during operation.
Once assembled, the pumps were independently witness examined and licensed by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. The pumps were then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore the place the FPSO (floating manufacturing storage and offloading unit) is being constructed.
The pump delivery and installation had to align with the FPSO build schedule. Because of the size of the pumps, they needed to be installed into the vessel’s tanks by way of the deck earlier than another deck above the pumps could possibly be built. The first phase was accomplished successfully over the Christmas period with Amarinth’s Engineering Commissioning group supporting the shopper with the set up and commissioning.
The FPSO might be positioned in the KG-DWN 98/2 field, roughly 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. The vessel is designed to provide up to ninety 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It might be geared up to handle the monsoon conditions prevalent at the area.
